Just a bit of advice based on my experience ... most players don't like these settings set higher, especially when they only have time for one map. Leet players and noobs alike seem to complain about it. That is not to say that everyone feels the same.

I don't think it is a bad idea to have seperate cvars, but I hardly see a vote pass on my server other then to kick a jerk running around team killing (people are more likely to vote yes for that). ET Admin can be set to not allow shuffle votes and such after a certain time period also. Since the vo...

Push dead boddies (not gibbed)

I searched the forums and change logs but didn't find anything. It seems to me that you used to be able to push dead boddies and now you can't. Any reason for that?

Just a question, but with the last release there were thee versions. The server may or may not make you download the correct version, but I do know it screwed up the MD5 checks and was kicking lots of people. I have seen files with the crc appended to them, but is it possible that the MD5 check only...

That doesn't keep people from manually doing it.

Yes, you have to have shell access to run etadmin. ET Pro has semiadmin functions built in and you can also use RCON and REF, although ref doesn't limit commands the way other methods can and you wouldn't want everyone to have RCON access.

As long as you have every cvar in it, yes. That is what I do.

Or you load your settings from a file everytime you start the game. What Gotenks is getting at is that it is a good idea to keep the setting at 1 so that you can see what is going on and just delete the files as they build up.

The change files write the changes that servers make on your config with the sv_cvar command. If you do not want these files use this:

b_backupcvars 0

I kind of wanted to know why it does that. I guess it resets every map despite what you set your client for. Your post has nothing to do with this problem. I know forcecvar works, it is what we had to use before sv_cvar came along; and I guess we will continue to do so.

sv_cvar r_drawfoliage EQ 0

I have this setting on my server, and my config has this value, yet each time a map loads i get the error that the value is 1 and needs to be 0 and writes the change file. What gives?
