I used to be one of those field ops who would run into enemy fire just to get a full charge bar. I felt it was a cheap tactic, but a very effective one so I basically had to do it. I'm glad that's over, the maps in ET still have more than enough spam. If I had to play matches with those old spam-all...

Re: Sniping problems in ETPro as well as lag
He shot directly at the guy's face from a prone position, and there was no hit sound and the player reported that he wasn't damaged. Then he shot at the chest. Again no hitsound and no damage. This exact same thing has happened to me on just one etpro server I've played on (and it happens every tim...

Those people constantly complaining about spawnkilling are downright hilarious... I was playing on a server, don't remember which one (most likely a boomtown), and I was using a mortar. Quite efficiently, I might add. The map was Goldrush, and I was on allied side. Our team had trouble getting the t...

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but when I was working with some of my larger scripts, I've ran across these problems (in RtCW and in ET): 1) A .cfg file was over 16k in size, and I got an error 2) Some lines in my configs were too long. I couldn't add much color to my spawntimer script in RtCW be...

Yes, I've heard about that, but what is about other methods like the sound spawntimers(every 20-30 seconds a beep) !? They can be used without changing ET-Files. It's pretty useless to try and get rid of those. I mean, the spawntimer doesn't have to interact with the game in any way. You can run a ...

Very nice, I like them all. Especially the first one, for me the warmup text always gets in the way and it's hard to see the target clearly. Not much of a warmup if you can't get a feel of the shooting the way it's going to be after the counter reaches zero.. I hadn't really thought about the rest o...

no they dont Yes, they do. http://bani.anime.net/banimod/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3329 If you try to use these in game (e.g. /vsay hi =aaHELLO=ab,) you'll soon find that it won't display them right away. To make the game recognize them, you'll have to run them through cmd - such as /cmd vsay hi =aaHE...

Re: suggestion: alternative respawn
Pros: -Spawn killing becomes a lot more difficult - running through the enemy spawn is now a lot more risky - /kill becomes a lot less efficient (you cant grab a flag 1 sec before respawn and your team simply /kills) I don't see any of those as pros. I'm not going to touch the /kill effectiveness, ...

Me, too. Like cg_drawgun for instance, I like to keep my MG hidden, but flamethrower and panzerfaust drawn. Currently I can't do it with autoexecs, I have to have a complicated (and a bitch to modify) script for that.hiro wrote:The reason being I have different binds for different weapons/class combos.
