Thats you browser settings thats doing that.
The file is a .pk3 file And when you d/L it your browser is saving it as a .pk3.zip
D/L it to your /etmain folder and rename it, so it's just a .pk3 file
IE: just remove the extra ".zip" part

If your asking should you unzip the .pk3 file. NO
If your talking about a map that's a .zip And has a readme.xxx file+mapname.pk3 NO
All you need is the (mapName.pk3) file.

All maps should be placed in your /etmain folder.
As for your "packs" ?
What are they?

Both problems have been talked about already.

For your first problem I think it was Rain that had the fix for it.
Second on is still being looked into.
