where should i be able to change anyhting ? i dont have the consol.. just a window with that msg in it.. where do i find the config it trys to load ? =) Find all files called etconfig.cfg and look in them (use notepad/wordpad) for seta r_mode x whatever the number in place of x try lowering it by 1

Are you playing or running a server?

If you are playingthen it will only work on servers with it enabled.

If you are running a server you need to do what was suggested in the earlier posts.

If you are not sure how to do that then rename all copies of etconfig.cfg to old-etconfig.cfg and restart the game. That will return you to default settings.

Maybe it's just me but on a map change, if I have selected the non-default weapon for the class I am playing it switches me back to the default. Might be more complicated than I think but how about new players starting part way through a campaign (i.e. after first map) start with average XP/levelling up of all players. To stop abuse of this you would need the server to remember XP otherwise players not doing so well could just disconnect and...
