Assuming punkbuster is running, you can use: pb_cvarval <whatever> which will return the server's setting for that variable.

If punkbuster isn't running, then it's back to the sets mularkey described above :)

Just bunged 3.1.9 on our server and had a poke around, I found that when inviting someone to my fireteam I kept recieving the message that they were not on my team  - I was using mpfireteamadmin to do it though, which only displays a list of those on your team, not currently participating in ...

Looks like you are running a config that is setting and locking the b_mapscriptdirectory variable to "". Search any .cfg and .config files for references to b_mapscriptdirectory and see what you can find.

xfire's new ingame messaging tool seems to rely on similar methods to some hacks, it is therefore blocked by etpro, yet reports the user as "STRANGE".

I believe Fusen sent Rain my /cheaters code regarding this matter earlier.

well, after a few teething problems, not a bad show at all - I'll not deny it was a little laggy. But I don't think anyone went in expecting it to be perfect on the first major trial. Personally I found the experience much better having turned off 2D elements (which also cuts out all the irritating ...

I went to volunteer at my church the other day - when I was finished I demanded my money, but to my surprise they didn't give me any. Weird. Surely a more appropriate statement would be: I went to volunteer at my church the other day, whilst doing this all the churchgoers (who hadn't volunteered an...

It seems that most arguments against a spawntimer [as bani specifically requested comments on that] fall into one of the following groups: I've already got one (insult people not clever enough to get one): bully for you, this doesn't affect you then. I'm so mentally superior that I don't need one: t...

I wouldn't say it was of the utmost importance, as has already been said, clans wishing to use spawntimers already do so (albeit heron, ET scripting, egg-timer, bloke on comms rather than an integrated feature) so it seems like a natural progression. I do not see how it would hurt the game in any wa...

Perhaps he was just being factual.

The delay after proning, is in fact an nms waste of time where n is specified by the admin.

Which leads me on to Smokey's remarks. Smokey - I would suggest you keep quiet unless you're absolutely sure you know what you're talking about. As I've said to Gotenks, I'm not a troll. And if you still don't believe me, visit the Jolt forums at: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=515 and...

Don't waste your time Gotenks, just another troll trying to find a new cave after the last banning.

I'm sure, as ever, your grasp of logical and reasoned debate will be a great merit to this forum.

Again, apologies if this has been covered already...... It has come to my attention that if you prime a 'nade and hit (and hold) TAB that you can hold the 'nade in it's primed state until you release TAB (and one would hope if you were into that sort of thing +attack). Now, although you are static (...

I also had a few issues with b_althud not working (also multiview) when first I uploaded and ran with etpro. I can heartily recommend a re-install (or re-ftp from a clean local install) although time consuming it certainly pays off. I suspect the root cause in my case may have been a rogue shrub gam...

It may be an obvious question, but where did these demos come from? Ignoring the mod version, was it an ET server running v1.00 or did you record them on a server running the new et patch v1.02. I'm sure I heard mention of the fact that demos can't cross the protocol boundary (potentially in this ca...
