I think RTCW still has a very different "feeling" to it than ET, everything feels a little darker, heavier and more war-like (like the massive shaking caused by all the spam on base...). As far as gameplay is concerned, I can't even tell why someone would want to tweak ETPro like RTCW, sin...

That makes no sense to me, just toggle cl_allowdownload. I agree that servers should definitely not be allowed to change this cvar (if they do). But wwwdownload really doesn't matter.

i mean there are some to take a screenshot after doing a status or something[..] But that's a good point IMO, so maybe there is another way to make wait commands only useless for movement scripts. After all manual movement is already blocked during wait, so this was clearly the intention. Just free...

This is so funny... Exactly the same comments have always been made in the Urban Terror community, with different antilag code (at first) and totally different hit detection. I'm sure both games had some crazy bug which made you hit the head more often if you had a high ping. Right... So we have thi...

Both have been discussed in and out... The search function should show it. I doubt there is any reason to keep discussing it. Both clearly have pros and cons and now it's simply up to Bani and crew if they ever want to offer those options or not. In a nutshell the pros and cons are like this: Pro no...

I fear another spawntimer discussion coming up. :? On the one hand I agree with emcee's logic, on the other hand, if this kind of script would really be that much of an advantage, someone could always write a little external tool to mess with the registry settings, if one uses a driver which makes t...

Yes, they rock. However, the fireteam becomes really large now and the size changes can be distracting. :/ I'd like to suggest two things to mitigate this problem: 1) Allow the client to set a fixed length for location names in the fireteam. Users could then write their own location files with abbre...

It doesn't seem to do anything for me (tried values from 0.001 to 1000). Maybe a Windows only thing or how does it work?

MG Sensitivity

So I got my Diamondback (awesome mouse) and to the Linux driver it's simply four times as sensitive as my old mouse, as a result the stationary MGs have become uncontrollable fast and they don't react to my sensitivity setting. Tank MGs are much better. Is there a chance that this could be tweaked i...

All the demos I recorded where I played with a MG42 had this bug, all of them were on ETPro 3.1 servers, all of them were correctly played back with ETPro 3.1 and with all of them the recording started right at the beginning of the match (autoaction). Oh and all of them took place on supplydepot2, j...

ive not heard any1 say it makes them "impossible" to hit. but i see what ur generalizing at. This is still a funny example: http://www.xfire.be/?x=article&mode=item&id=43&nav=1 Just read the part about snaps... Actually it's not funny, because many players in Germany and elsew...

That's for the league/server admins to decide, but people would flame if it's forced to 20, just like they are flaming now everyone who dares to use snaps 20... Completely convinced that it "makes people impossible to hit", etc.

Steven is completely right, the stats are important. Different people use stats in different ways, but stats in itself are never bad. I'd rather have more stats than less. Not for bragging but for analysing. Only on publics I can see the use of disabling stats.

Yeah, come up with the "unbendable fanboy" bullshit to support your nonsense, way to go. The cheater paranoia is already sickening enough in itself, it becomes even more sickening when people value it higher than the infinite possibilities of open source engine code. I have nothing more to...

same reason Id releases the source to the previous engine when they make a new one. i hate to say that coz i'm a total Carmack fanboy, but it's only logical. Bullshit. This really makes me angry. The open sourcing of Id engines has been the best thing happening to (open source) gaming in years and ...
