i can confirm that, we had this happen to an individual the other night running testfix6 i think. the guy affected really didn't mention it until later, so it's hard to say when it happened or what -- at the time i just kindof passed it off as him being psycho or having connection problems, heh.

yahoo sucks for that reason. if you have an isp, you get an e-mail with it, so i see no problem with forcing this on users. some places even force you to use your isp's e-mail address, i feel that's over the top, but this isn't at all.

there's a couple of things you can try depending on the cvar.

if it's server-side (usually read-only cvars are), you can do /devmap mapname then do /forcecvar r_smp 1

@ DSky.kotkis i'm very aware this is a competition mod, if i only got a nickel for how many times i've heard this... like i said, i don't want this turning into a debate about spawn killing, therefore, i will refuse to comment any further on this post. i feel it's a valid tactic, and it's a bit hard...

why not totally disable landmines all together? it would have the same effect. usually landmines are in very predictable spots anyway, so giving the ability to spot them makes it that much more useless to even plant landmines which have i don't know how many times saved the team. this is already a f...

first bug has been fixed, second bug i've never heard of or seen happen, however, the dynamite system has been modified in order to prevent exploits, so it is possible that this is no longer possible.

as far as the dynamite hitbox being small, that doesn't explain why you can plant at the stairs.
