I think it'd be a lot easier to just create public and competition config files and then bind a key to toggle between the two.

I'd say that's a lot harder to implement. Rounds are far more easily identified. How do you define when a match ends? It's dependant on the number of rounds needed to win in different leagues, whether draws count and what they count as, you'd need new server side cvars to signal that stuff and then ...

Well spotted. Could the spawn timer be tied into the mission clock? Sometimes it seems like it is and others it isn't, depending on when you hit your bind and how close to the spawn second it was. If you hit your bind to start/sync the timer and you do it midway through a second, it will count down ...

afaik, cg_descriptiveText and b_descriptiveTextScale were related to some messages on your HUD when you were dead or spec about pressing L to enter the limbo menu, mouse 1 to follow the next player etc. They have no effect on "You are near ..." messages nor the small knife image for backst...

I just tested it then and you can spec the other team, hit your bind to sync your timer when they spawn and then join the...

Hmm... The only legitimate time to use inviteall is in a clan match, and in those, whoever forms the fireteam should really be competent enough to admin it. So I don't think people should be able to propose all.

I agree it would be useful to be able to pass in the spawn time in seconds and have the countdown go from there. So you /timerSet 30 for a 30 second cycle and then you /setSpawnTime 37 to indicate that the opponents spawn on 7 and 37 of each minute say. But I can cope with hitting a key for timerRes...
