Immediately? After a round trip to the server. Of course, if you let it ramp down, you just have an artificial high ping for a while. If you are just running from A to B that might not be a big deal. I've only been screenshotted on my local server since asking this (not online), but it did indeed w...

AFAIK, it's based on the HDD serial on Windows and the MAC address on Linux. Since those will be unique even among "identical" machines*, there's no problem.

*Except on Win9x, as stated above.

Rollover count is how many keys you can press at the same time. n-key rollover means you can press and hold all keys and they will register. 5-key rollover would mean you can press and hold 5 keys, but if you press a 6th key it will fail to register. Again, on most keyboards, the number of keys you...

If it doesn't have a high rollover count, and I suspect it does not, it's just another shiny piece of bling that's not particularly well-suited to gaming. What is a high rollover count, and what keyboard have high rollover counts? Rollover count is how many keys you can press at the same time. n-ke...

Stopping for a moment should always cause the antiwarp part of the graph to go away. Immediately? It certainly goes away whether I move or stand still, it just takes a few seconds and ramps down gradually, as expected. Are you saying that the lagometer will immediately drop back to flatline if I st...

Have you reported it to Evenbalance ouroboro? Yes. They never responded, presumably because it's the normal behavior of the "new" screenshot code. It happens to everyone, in fact I didn't even realize it was happening because I'd stopped using the lagometer long before that update, but ev...

That's exactly what my lagometer looks like when I get screenshotted by PB. Ping jumps to ~300 and I get that "feather" pattern on the lagometer, which gradually slopes down to normal as my ping settles. Like the others said: just don't move for a split second and this is gone. For a PBSS?

It would certainly be nice if you could specify to only allow necessary files (e.g. maps only) with cl_allowdownload 2 for example.

But do you have any evidence that the increased ping you see at higher packet values is real? I've heard that it is most likely not an accurate representation. As long as a player sends >=20 packets they should be perfectly smooth and hittable, because the server only updates player positions 20 tim...

if u came on irc would figure out that alot of players DONT want antilag and they are et players , not wolf players  Those tend to be the players who have amazing pings on a large number of servers. Meanwhile, back in the real world, antilag is what allows many people to play games onli...

There are still 4 (non-passworded) ET 2.55 servers running ETPro 2.0.7. Have at 'em.
