I didn't do those things for reasons which are: team_maxplayers - you need to use this for league games to enforce your max team size. Otherwise teams will (inadvertently or not) push the boundaries when subbing etc. vote_allow_pub/vote_allow_comp - shouldn't be in a league config. This should be up...

I don't like disconnected DL mode, because as far as I remember, every time I wanted to cancel a disconnected download, pressing Esc didn't work. I either had to wait until it had finished or quit ET via task manager. Also, it seems to me that ET is much more likely to crash or failing to connect (...

nah What you SHOULD do is set disconnected downloads (they're designed for exactly this situation). What they do, is force clients to download any pk3's.... disconnected. It's a map-specific thing, toggled by cg_atmosphericeffects. Its inclusion is done by the mapper - it's an effect much like grass ( and you can't 'turn grass on' for say, oasis ). Of course, you could turn these effects on by making your own version of a map, but there's no setting to do it no.

the 'spawnflags' var there is there TEAM that that spawnpoint entity applies to - not the setspawnpt number ;). As Ragnar mentioned in that SD thread, they're in order.
