this idea wouldn't be too bad, however it should be combined with the idea you don't like... the deathmatch friendly fire on, no team penalties, then you just gotta be the best(or the last person to kill the previous carrier)

When a player kills a teammate(not the dude "A Teammate") he gibs himself and gets a -4 point loss instead of -2,(kills himself and his teammate). If possible when you shoot the teammate you loose the same amount of health.
