hey Im all for the tell coming back.. just as long as it isnt for the people currently playing... always fun as a sniper /telling the guy in my crosshair.. "bang your dead" just before I shoot him :lol: thus the reason why ID got rid of it in later patches of rtcw

no... distance fallout is a good thing.. while may seem to be dumb... it makes weapons that are meant for distance to actually be worth something... ie sniperrifles in rtcw... a sniper would be taken out all the time from smgs from across the map.. if eliminating the distance fallout in ET... it giv...

you have to look at scripts this way..... does it give the player an unfair advantage or does it exploit known engine bugs? does using this mortar script give them an advantage over mortars with coordinates written down on a piece of paper? the answer is no... the script is slow and you can move the...

of course this is also assuming that mappers are gonna start adding names for locations to their maps... then what will happen with the older maps who dont have them? is everywhere gonna be "unknown"

its not that simple... for one location from q3/rtcw was split into 2... location[0] and location[1]

if it was as simple as replacing old code.. Im sure they would have done it already
