running a server??

hey, how do you run a server?
cause when I do it, it goes on local and lke, its dedicated to internet...
does this happen to anyone else???????

no
since its run at you home pc its run from you own ip and so on
there for it will show up in you ingame browserlist as lan
while it is internet

but all the other guys i talk 2 that make servers, say that they see theirs on internet:?
and I go to play the one on local, but it says hunkusage.DAT is corrupt:?!
and one more thing... when my thing goes on local, do others see it on internet??
and whats all this about my IP?

ip is the adress you connect to
every server in fackt every pc on tthe internet has it own IP
the ip links you to the good server
i cant tell more about im since im not a expert its just more like the adress of you pc / server

when i make a local server i see it on lan aswel and ppl can still join it on the internet i dunno about the other ppl you talked to they might have bought a server then its on a different pc and different ip

the hunkuseage.dat well i dunno it should not give that error atleast it doesnt for me
try running 2nd wolf from a different folder / installation

delete the hunkuseage.dat file... it gave me errors and i did a google search and several people said to do that, so i did and it works

wolf will create a new one, the one you have probably has an error of some sort

Wolf will see it as a LAN server because of the internal IP address of your server, but will also see it "on the internet" because of the external IP address.

that is posable thne you server is blocked by a rooter or firewall or something
i cant help you on that
