patch selector

i tried the patch selector dosent work readme says double click the .dat ther is non in my etmain just 3 .txt.

It is .bat, and it should be above etmain, in the "Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory" folder. The files in etmain are mp_bin.100, mp_bin.102, and mp_bin.260. All of the other files should be in the wolf folder:
100.bat 102.bat 260.bat 100.patch 102.patch 260.patch ETDED260.patch Readme PatchSelector260.txt

yeah i ment main wolf folder. when i extracted them they were .txt file for some reason. so i opened them up and saved as 100.dat etc. but i still cant exec u them, when i double click on them it just prompts me to choose a program to view/edit them.

using win xp pro.

how do i get it just to exec those comds, do i do it form in game?

I had same problem and it turned out i had dl the wrong thing

had managed to dl an update instead of the full thing so all the bat files were missing

some kind soul sent me the bat files on msn and all was fine

I guess I'll have to repeat what Locked_On said: It should be .bat, not .dat.

I have no idea why whoever did the selector called them .txt.

dat is data file
bat is batch file
... batch files are executeable text files

ok guys yeah they were text and then the idiot i am i changed then to .dat instead of .bat. anyway it works now thanks where ever i got them didnt include the .bat files.
