Post by Marko »

The BBQ administration bot for ETPRO servers has now reached a higher level, with optimized code and better network programming. Its now fully functionnal on all IRC servers, even those not sticking to the IRC RFC.
Theres a version for Win32 and Linux servers, so pick the one you need directly in the downloads section

Nice, Marko.....

Does it have an automatic 'crush alpha player ego' function? j/k

kick for too much ownage, for newbie-only servers so I can play :P

actually maybe that's an idea... first few times i played CS i went to a newbie only server where players got tempbanned if they were too good, gave the rest of the newbs a chance to figure it out. maybe less useful tho since limbo time isnt like 5 mins.

I could easily adapt BBQ to make a NON-IRC version... :) piece of cake to keep the bot working without dumping anything in IRC :)

Thats worth doing for ppl who cant use it with IRC, however for me, that was the biggest feature :?

we could always have BBQ run with a server-side console, or web host, or mySQL / PHP :) That would let non-IRC server admins use it easily 8)
