MML Helmsdeep B4 is now out, it's a great map to end a large spammy campaign with if you're into that sort of thing :) be sure to set max mines to 100 for this map!

El Kef has been updated with a newer version, it's aimed at SW so worth a look for leagues. Not much match feedback on it yet.

Base 47 is another one looking good for SW, though it needs both play testing and changes before it's ready to use in comps.

El Kef is not really good so far... too tight and no smooth moving IMO.

as for fast, hard playing SW maps I d choose

braundorf
frostbite
tc_base
supplydepot2 (3 is just an unnecessary re-issue)
and of course
The River II (which is a bit hard to learn but u get the toughest games on that one, and the most adrenalin-boost when u r running with the docs) 8)

Don't versions 3 and 4 fix a number of bugs including being able to satchel crane controls from behind a wall? I read something like that in the v4 release notes.

a map is never perfect... but if you re-issue a map that plays so well you really need to have GOOD reasons and provide SERIOUS improvement... and there wasnt really anything to improve...
Those things werent bugs but minor issues, and you could care about them as a player. Only a cov that u dont kill can satchel the controls, so I guess its all down to the players. Re-issuing maps because there are some minor bugs and things player didnt like cuz they lost a map due to them not really caring about some details/ covering an area/ the other team having a better tactic is stupid IMO, and not necessary. And the bugs (of which I never saw one and i ve played that map LOTS of times could mostly be fixed with a new script. NO need to release a new pk3.
And with regard to mapping work... hmmm tbh i was pretty disappointed about how few effort had been put into new and better looks of the map (especially the mountains/tunnels could ve done with overworking) but well...

...that s just my humble opinion.
