Re: Remove Campaigns from vote menu
the only way AFAIK is to take them out of the pk3 what makes no sense.gjrc wrote:hi,

b_campaignfile leaves them voteable but when voted nothing will happen.
There's no way they are actually remove them from the menu.

They are built-in in pak0.pk3 so whatever you do they'll always show up. Setting b_campaignfile to your.campaign file just makes them non-executable when being callvoted.Bartichello wrote:make a campaignfolder wich does not inclmude those campaigns so they are not on the server?
If you REALLY want to get rid of them, remove them from pak0.pk3 and put that up for download for your players when they connect to your server .

I created a .pk3 file which removes (or better: 'disables') the stock campaign files. It works as I described above. To get it work place the .pk3 file into the etmain subfolder of your server.
Download (named "remove_stock_campaigns.pk3", file size 384 bytes ).

It doesn't disable them, it allows them to be there, be voted and executed and upon execution do nothing . Not the most aestethic solution , it's just a hack.Ragnar_40k wrote:I created a .pk3 file which removes (or better: 'disables') the stock campaign files. It works as I described above. If you put all of your campaigns in one .campaign file, and reference that with b_campaignfile, you achieve the same objective with only one PK3 for your clients to download. This way of working is cleaner and much more manageable for the admin. Otherwise you would have an abundance of PK3 campaign buckets for players to download and you to keep track off.

For me it works. I created a server with etded (on a clean installation with remove_stock_campaigns.pk3 added) and connected to it - no stock campaign files available to vote for.deej wrote:It doesn't disable them, it allows them to be there, be voted and executed and upon execution do nothing . Maybe you have some other .pk3-files which interfere with my .pk3. Search for .pk3 files that contain .campaign files. One (or more) of these files may contain the line
Code: Select all
name "North Africa"
Code: Select all
name "Central Europe"

Ragnar you r my hero lol. I tried your anti-campaign-vote-file and it works fine. Thx a lot.
Btw... i think you played UT sometimes (according to your name)
edit: this only works if there were not stupid campaignfiles inside map-pk3's like it was a funny custom in the beginning of ET... only way around that I think is to get rid of the maps that have such campaignfiles in the pk3.
