cg_autoaction ???

cg_autoaction ???

Guyz i have a problem, dunno if this can be done in server config, but my mates and me have the same problem - all have in our cfg's set autoaction to 0, but when on our server, its always the same old story - demo recording !!!

can this be undone by simple line in server config or maybe lua scripting ? coz ive checked whole server config, and theres nothin inside that would have command like this...and no matter whos connecting, they all have the same problem - demo always starts recording at the start of the map !

If clients are autorecording, then either they already have it set, or the server is restricting or forcing it.

Make sure cl_autorecord is 0 as well.

coz when i wanted to run it just true rcon to test it, then i would put it in server config, it says unknown command in line cl_autorecord ?? or is this just a client command ? :blush: :)

Ive just put this in my server config...

command "forcecvar cg_autoaction 0"

so this shouldnt happen again right ? but ppl can still normally record their demos if they want - right, or cant since its forcecvar set to 0 ? but it wont be as auto action, they have to do it manually like it should be ?!

...coz crossfire config/which i edit and make a public one, has it set to 7...

using that will force it off... even if they want it on (they'll have to turn it back on every time they leave your server)

Ok have just erased that line from config/but im not sure what you mean by config files ?? or configs like crossfire clan base xfire etc...that i am yes, ive edit the new crossfire 6vs6 fall 2006 for public use, add some of my settings and stuff, but this about autoaction im not sure, coz even in old config i dont have command line such as this, coz this is new config - before i used summer/now im using the new fall config Crossfire.nu&ESL Fall 6on6 just hope that i wont have no more problems now when its erased will see - even if client is using cg_autoaction 0 ...

alot of leagues use .config files for their settings... if you have one loaded (somewhere did/have "config something.config, then you probably have had autoaction sv_cvared on

that .config has both a sv_cvar and a forcecvar forcing the client to use:
cg_autoaction 7"

see: command "forcecvar cg_autoaction 7"
see: command "sv_cvar cg_autoaction EQ 7"

Yes so if i erased em both, there shouldnt be no autoaction for clients, and they can record demos manually with no problems ?

coz in old summer config, there wasnt command line such as this...

as long as no other config's are loaded forcing it back on... yes... i'd restart your server as well, to make sure all forcecvars and sv_cvars are unloaded first though

I always told the leagueadmins to use WITHBITS instead of EQ, because you might have 15 as well, except it only works for stopwatchmode
