A few times now in ETPro 3.x I've had the bottom of the lagometer show solid green, while my ping showed normal range. Sometimes it feels laggy when this happens, and sometimes it doesn't. Short demo here:

I don't know what it will tell you since the lagometer looks normal in demo playback . At the start of the demo, it was solid green while playing, and by the time I stopped recording, it had gone back to normal.

The lagometer is faked in demo playback, there's not quite enough info stored in the demo to play back the lagometer.
Anyway, it sounds kind of like the antiwarp stuff: http://bani.anime.net/banimod/forums/vi ... php?t=3340 - the added lag when smoothing things out will decay off slowly while you're moving, but will fall off almost instantanously if you stop (which is a good way to tell the difference.)

yeah, I thought about adding something to the lagometer to differentiate antiwarp, but a) didn't have time, and b) the engine won't let us touch the sanest send that info.

I have this issue too but it always kicks me for 'client communication failure' and my ping only comes down slowly on some servers but on most stay 999 til i'm kicked for 'client communication failure.'
The right perception of any matter and a misunderstanding of the same matter do not wholly exclude each other
