One guy said he "is playing in Linux" and this is the cause. is that possible or are they cheating?

first one is using xfire (not cheating)

second one is using ncbot 1.02, a known cheat.

scary. i'll not trust another STRANGE player till this is resolved.

@bani: is the second string of characters in his post the same for anyone using that cheat, or is his GUID formulated into that gibberish somehow? if so i will save it as a reference. thanks

This one was obvious, second case within 2 days. Demo avaitable if needed but its so damn obvious that i dont really think its nessary.

blackwitz: /cheaters in the console, if you see players who are listed as anything but [clean win32] or [clean linux], do /cheaters # (their player number) to get the details about that player, then you can post it here for analysis.

not only possible, but probable. you cant stop custom hacks, but at least we can stop the punks from downloading public cheats and using them

but, PB does do a sort of "hiuristic (sp?)" checking, like antivirus looking for things that APPEAR to be cheats. that can be helpfuill

and i think etpro also does that which is why xfire if called STRANGE coz etpro says "hmmm why is this program trying to put an open gl overlay on this players screen?"

that fack the info is coded is uindersntand able but i fonud it verry wierd that thole lines chance every round you play lol

how would you know that unless you've been using cheats?
