Sensitivity Slowdown

Post by yacht »

In the new etpro 3.20 my mouse sensitivty has slowed down quite a bit (I have an MX510, Mouseware 9.80)
Whereas in 3.10/3.19 I was using 2.36 sensitivty, I now have to use 5.86 to get the same sort of speed.
At first it was inconvenient, but I didn't really mind changing.

However, yesterday, mid way through a 3.20 game, the mouse just seemed to return to a 'faster' sensitivty. I had to change it from 5.86 back to 2.36. The next map, it had returned to a 'slow' sensitivity and thus I had to change it again from 2.36 back to 5.86.
I don't mind switching sense between the different etpro versions, but it's kind of annoying when I have to start switching mid game.
Is this a bug or is there anything I can do?

i've seen some people complaining about that with etmain 2.60... so i don't think it's etpro's fault

Maybe. I've only played 2.60 with etpro, so it might just be the new patchh, but I thought the new patch was made alongside the etpro team? :?
Are there any known solutions to the problem though?

Code: Select all

set highsens "sensitivity 5.86; set senstoggle vstr lowsens; echo << Sensitivity high >>"
set lowsens "sensitivity 2.36; set senstoggle vstr highsens; echo << Sensitivity low >>"
set senstoggle "vstr lowteam"
bind ¥ vstr senstoggle
replace ¥ with a key of your choice

afaik this seems to only be happening to logitech users, also mainly logitech users who have mouseware installed, although I have had to switch sensitivity between versions because of a weird feeling for each

Tonnes of MX510 users have complained of this recently, needing to completely and randomly readjust their sensitivity on various servers. I have a 510 and MouseWare 9.80 and haven't had any problems.
