BONE HITTESTS

Hi i noticed in released etpro hittest code that there are ifdefed BONE_HITTESTS
They arent any linked with g_damage and so ( that wouldnt be problem to accomplish anyway )
However can I ask if it works , or which major bugs does it have?
Also I dont have acces to etpro debug lines but it wont be as hard to use oldstyle railtrail for most..

It works. The only "major bug" is that the .hits file has a sucky syntax. You'll have to make your own .hits, of course, since I haven't bothered to make one ;)
You'll find that if you actually make a .hits that corresponds to the real body (i.e., shoot between the legs and you miss), you'll have to adjust the spread accordingly, otherwise no one will hit anything.

i think etpro will stick to the current hitboxes altho i hope they still resolve the bugged prone boxes or make prone go crough before going to fiull prone...(hitboxes are almost on the ground when the moddel isn't even close yet)

not so. the etpro bb for prone goes through crouch for ~500ms. so the box is actually taller than the player for some period of time.

as for bone hitboxes. you think players complain about not being able to hit anything now? turn on bone hitboxes and the complaints will increase 100,000,000x. because shots between legs or under arms or over the shoulder will no longer be a hit. bone hitboxes reduce the hitbox area like 60%.

no, but proning would really work as you woulnd't have a box to hit you'd have to hit the person laying down

yea but still the box doesn't entirely match the model bani. i would personaly like it beter if prone would actualy go crough and then lie down so the hitboxes match up with the model beter(if this is possible)
