ET Pro team obtains ET engine source code!
I am happy to announce that the ET Pro development team now has the engine source code, which will enable us to make ET TV a reality.
Thanks to everyone who made this happen. You know who you are.
I'm sure everyone will now want to know when it will be available.
Short answer: When it's ready.
Long answer: We want to get ET Pro 2.1 released first, which should happen "soon". We hope to have an ET TV ready for Quakecon 2004. This means we will have to have something usable by at least a few months before the event, for the Quakecon qualifiers. Don't expect anything for at least a couple months.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're never going to see kickable nades or BayonET, are we?
Seriously though, great news. The ETpro team (I know there's more than just bani and Rain lurking in the shadows) has done an outstanding job of polishing ET to make it more friendly to the competitive community... and not just the players, either. Your work is appreciated, and I think it's a great compliment that the Powers That Be have decided to hand ya'll the source.
Can't wait to see where things sit a year from now.
