Q: What do I need to download in order to watch a match with ET TV?
A: Nothing. All you have to do is connect to the ET TV server with your normal ET client.

Q: What can I do as an ET TV viewer once i've joined a server?
A: Anything a normal spectator can do, except join teams.
You can free float around the map, or follow any individual player's pov as you like.
Fire and altweapon cycle following next player / previous player respectively.
Note: Your public chats will only be seen by other ET TV viewers. Players in the game can't see them.

Q: How do I turn on/off ET TV spectator chat?
A: /tvchat on turns it on and /tvchat off turns it off.

Additional controls for ET TV viewers:

prone + (fire / altweapon) - cycle following only objective carriers
zoom + (fire / altweapon) - cycle following only spectators / shoutcasters

pressing activate while pointing at a player will jump directly to following that player.
pressing activate or jump while following a player will return you to free floating mode.

Hi bani + co.

There's a large group of normal ET players who aren't so familiar with this ETTV (Superb idea, BTW!). There have also been lots of new topics concerning the Atlantic Battle #2 and the ETTV match from it in different forums, and this means a bunch of people would like to see the match from ETTV.

Luckily enough it seems to be easy to use ETTV: only connect the server providing the ETTV match with your ET client. But now the problem seems to be (and the time is running out) that nobody seems to know the IP's where to watch the game.

Could someone please lend us a hand here.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you for a quick reply. I thought some IP's are available already but now I'll connect IRC and come to idle to #atlantic-battle then.

Oh, how I love idling on ET servers, too. ;)

EDIT: Yes, you're right. The #atlantic-battle had this as a topic:
Atlantic Battle 2 - Saturday 7th August - Kick Off 00.00 CET / 6 EST Oasis & Supply Depot - www.xfire.be/www.et-center.com - European Lineup : Redcross / Potter / Mystic / Care / Ferus / Sengo / #radioitg / IPS GIVEN NEAR KICK OFF TIME, BE PATIENT

Any news on how many clients will be able to connect to ettv servers? And will there be multible servers for the Atlantic-battle #2. If so what servers will they be?

you're needing to host et-tv? because as a client you just need to use your et client to watch a match
