+set sv_punkbuster 0 is on the command line, and pb_sv_ commands in the console don't do anything (pb_sv_ver in the console gives no output)

But

can you reproduce it with an ettv_timedemo 1 with no clients connected?

Doesn't seem to crash.

FWIW, I was running the demos with ettv_autoplay 1 (with symlinks to the selected demos named demo0000 demo0001 etc). When the crashes happend, there were around 10 viewers.
