ettv_b9 causing lags on master

Post by [bP]little »

Today I setup an ettv server and all things work, but the gameserver(master) has very big lags.

I turned on the et-client lagometer and I get big yellow spices (also if Shoutcaster turned off). With etded.x86 file, I got no lags.

Also I tested older versions of ettv, but I have the same problems (bigger lags).

CPU AMD SEMPRON / OS Gentoo Linux.

only one way to help the devs:

- make demo's and post them

But b9 is indeed laggy sometimes.
Our servers now run on 64 bit steroids. Point your ET to:
- Forgotten Ground StopWatch Server with occasional wolfrof 1
- Fraggle Rock ETPub Server - Mix up ET/UT & Duke Nukem

I guess he meant stop whining about lags & start proving them.

The only way you can do that is by putting a master on b9, connect b9 slaves to it and spam bani & zinx with all the recorded demos.

access to a test b9 server which reproduces the lag issues would be a start.
