ettv request

I was watching an oasis match awhile back and wanted to /noclip over the wall (in the back half near the arches ect) to watch the attack and defense at the same time, to see how it all played out. With that map the clipping stopped me from being able to do that, and the server wasnt setup to allow cheats so /noclip wouldnt work.

Im pretty sure those setting up the veiwing server could probably enable cheats or something to make this a possiblity, or maybe it could just be coded into ettv or something? I hope you understand what im trying to get at, although I think I explained it poorly, thanks for your time.

You can only do this if you link this to a mandatory delay of e.g. minimum 1 minute, otherwise I think you just opened up a gateway for cheaters.

Given that ettv specs can freecam anyway, I don't see what additional problem letting them no-clip would cause.

If you are worried about 'spies' on ettv, you need a delay, regardless of whether they can fly through walls.

noclipping would be a nice feature to have imo
i can't see any harm in it

sv_cheats 1 didn't allow me to noclip while watching a server demo (unless i did something wrong)

i was going to request this myself :)

Would there be troubles calculating which vis portals are visable?

If you noclip into some sections of maps you cant see anything. Other times, you can see too much - which may put additional stress on the ETTV server...

If they aren't problems then it wouldn't be too bad.

i think the engine itself only supports "/noclip" for players, not for specs - i have never seen specs use noclip

OT: if you noclip as spectator and use thirdperson view, you see yourselfs as axis soldier
