Request: Match description

I wonder if its possible to add a match description which is broadcasted via getinfo or getstatus. And if it could be added to demo files so replays over ETTV servers can automatically set this description field.

Alternativly this descripton could be placed on a http redirect - ETTV loads and broadcasts it automatically, but its also available externally over the net (e.g. via a browser) and a special field in getinfo resp. getstatus points to the link.

ETTVd propergates info such as matchname in the hostname

its rather easy to automatically parse (actually we (gtv) do it already)

EDIT:

Example: vp.ETTV.Server Replay: NC: Bel vs Slo Map: 2 Played on: 2006.03.13

ETTVd is not platform independent, so it'd be great to have things like this included in ETTV.

The match name in the server name is a start, but I had something more detailed in mind. Something like an arena (or even xml) file with key/value pairs. Possible keys like: participants (clan tags+names), roster (player list), league/fun match, shoutcasters, server name, brief match description (e.g. for replay servers) etc.

its pretty easy to guess the gtv matchid from the matchname and date which then provides all the further info - we should have a function for this available soon ;-)

i dont really think ettv admins could be bothered to really fill in all that metainfo

linux (or similar) is the only platform anyways thats capable of running a good quality ettv - windows ettv's dont even get near the performance ...

excuse my offtopic,
but what's so bad about running lastest ReyalP's ettv build on windows? i don't see any problem here.
opinions like "windows sux, everything on windows is bad, linux is the only one os i should develop for" makes me scary a bit. i hope it's not your way.
