Something messed up. You may have to re-enter a CD key or something. Or it may just clear up. I haven't got that in a long time, so I'm not that keen on the proper solution. Or someone else may be using your CD key, or it can't fig.... Eh, forget it. I'll be damned if I know.

ITs Internet Dedicated, and I see everyone else join the Server with no problems.

I don't know, as this is a long shot (VERY long shot), but can you make ANY type of connection to him? If he is running a dedicated server, he must have cable/dsl, or something equivalent. This is the LONG (as in very far) shot part. Does he live right next to you? Cable companies usually cluster customers together in nodes. If you and your friend (assuming he lives next to you) are in the same node, then there is a good chance you cannot connect to him.

I had this same problem with my friend. We were on the same AT&T Broadband node, so we could not make any connection together. If I tried to ping him, it would always time out. The only way I could contact him was through a chat program like AIM, as messages are first routed through a central server. But even with AIM I could not send him files or make a Direct Connection, as that sends data DIRECTLY to him.

As I said, this is a very long shot. I doubt it has any relevance, though.

I-M nUbee when you get the "client_unknown_to_authorization" mesage try waiting for 30 seconds before you hit ESC.
I'll get that mesage sometimes to but by waiting I always get in.

if you get the message, bring up the browser and connect to some other random server, then disconnect and connect to the server you originally wanted to.

it's a bug with id's master authorization server.
