the best. if you watch your bandwidth and don't go overboard you can run several servers at once with low player limits. 2 16 player servers use less bandwidth than one 32 player server...

Dont listen to Duke! He knows all of the FTP passwords for all of the server boxes there, and he will take over your servers if you get one. :lol: :D :wink:

anyone got prices for a t1? or maybe co-lo pricing?

we could easily move a server to a co-lo or build one for a co-lo.

rackshack.net

$99 bucks for your own box and 500gb of bandwidth

places like nubee's bshx.com charge $199 and only allow 200gb. sux.

for 109 a month u get 700GB a month in transfer

lets figure out this in player capacity.

700,000,000,000b / 31 days = 2,258,064,5161b a day

22,580,645,161b / 24 hours = 940,860,215b per hour

940,860,215b an hour / 60 minutes = 15,681,003b a min

15,681,003b a min / 60 seconds = 261,350 b per second or 261kb sec

not a very big pipe if you ask me. this assumes that the server would be full 24/7

is it 700GB or Gb? if it's Gb then
700Gb = 751,619,276,800b
751,619,276,800b * 12 / 365.25 = 24,693,857,143.326b a day
24,693,857,143.326b / 24 = 1,028,910,714.305b an hour
1,028,910,714.305b / 3600 = 285,808.532b per sec or 279.110kb/s again this is depending on the bit or byte
