/hcap whats it do?

/hcap whats it do?

Enabling the /hcap

seta g_hcap 1 //for yes
seta g_hcap 2 //for no

Is the above correct?

I suppose you would then type in /hcap in console.
Can all players use it then like the /players command?
What doe s it do then?

I think it goes this way:

seta g_hcap 0

is off and

seta g_hcap 1

is on. That is the server setting.

All this does is allows players to handicap themselves. So they start out with a setting of 0 when they play. If they type:

/hcap 50

I think that only 50% of their bullets are live rounds. I think that grenades and such only do 50% damage.

If you wish to have rubber bullets then type:

/hcap 100

Now none of your weapons do damage.

Panzer may knock them back but no damage. Same with grenade. Bullets cause no damage but will knock off helmets. Air strikes will not hurt but the fall back down will.

after some testing...

/hcap 50 will make all hits do damage but only 50% of the damage the gun setting is.

for instance if Sten, the normal damage is 14, so hcap 50 setting would do 7 health damage with each hit. Its not perfect either way. Some hits do slightly less or slightly more even under hcap 0

The post is made to the screen, but it also shows the same post to all players on the server when you change it.
