Is it possible with a client side mod to allow players to play tetris or other small game while loading...this is only one of many crazy ideas I have...So, is it possible?

Err.. you could probably just keep a gameboy or something next to your computer. That'd probably be a bit easier to do for everyone. Unless you don't have a system with Tetris on it. Doh.

I don't have a gameboy...I spend all my money on my comp.

gotenks, if he was really smoking weed, he'd probably rather have a Pink Floyd laser show playing while the game loaded. hell, if he were smoking weed, he'd probably want to watch the laser show instead of playing the game. What I have always wanted was this (for people with slow CPUs):

Before a map loads, it loads a very tiny tiny single room map with not many textures, this 1-room map would be a waiting room. While your in the waiting room the main map loads, you and any other players that join stay in the waiting room and get to screw around until the next round of the game starts. Maybe spectators have the option to join the waiting room too.

in no way would this be possible in a server side mod.

are you planning on making a ph0g-mod?

i'd only want a waiting room if there was nice furniture and some free snacks, like a box of dunkin donuts munchkins. they would so quickly take away that silly waiting period of less than 30 seconds.

can there be a bute hostess that serves you drinks too?

it takes pretty much the same time to load a small map as it does a huge one.
