Funny, how your able to have that many players (52 i believe) and no lag on a T1 line. When I only can have 28 players on an oc48 :?

oh well...

Both able of holding 32 players
I CALL BULLSHIT. 64 PLAYERS ON A T1 NOT GONNA HAPPEN UNLESS SV_MAXRATE IS 1000 OR 1K

lol, t1 won't do much more than 16 players.

Kenny quiet down now you might wake grandma.

dude you get one mb of b/w do the math.
so 1024 at a max rate if 4 will yield 32 players.

1.5 = down stream... upstream is usually much more limited

T1's are usually 1.5 up and down. Having the same up as down is only benifit T1s have over DSL, except SDSL which is similar. If it doesn't have 1.5 up and down then its not a full T1. Even with 1.5 up... sounds fishy trying to get two big servers like that.

I bet they will get tons of lag if they are both full.

My bad. =AFA=Obj can hold 26 players.Goldrush,24. The t-1 line is 1.5 Mb upstream.

Come on, there's only 50 players. How much lag could that make?

WOW.
This is funny.

I-M nUbee who is your host?
I highly doubt any server host can afford an OC48 Line.
They are hundreds of thousands of dollars a month.
If the provider really has an OC48 then you are sharing it with a whole bunch of other servers.
OC48's have 2.45Gbps transfer rate.

I have a FULL FIBER T-1 line.
This is a dedicated T-1 line running these servers.
There is nothing else using the T-1 line the when the servers are running.

There is a HUGE difference between DSL and T-1 lines.
T-1 lines are made for business use and DSL is basically just a copper phone line.

I have had no complaints from any broadband users regarding lag.
Our T-1 is only a few hops away from a large OC48 trunk.

Our server can handle the abuse as well.
Dual P3 1000Mhz with 1Gig of RAM
Running on Compaq server hardware.

Yes, we may get lag if both servers are full but I do not think that will happen at the same time. We are in one or the other. Usually not both.

For those of you that do not believe us about the speed come on over.
You will see a very nice ping and you will have no lag.

Thanks guys and have fun!
