Cannot play demos unter etpro 2.0.0

Everytime i start etpro to watch a demo et switches to etmain ... so it is impossible to play demos under etpro

this bug wasn't includet in 1.0.24 ..

Where does ETPro store demos? If it's \etpro\demos can you not simply move / copy them to \etmain\demos and view them from there?

it probely stores them in etpro/demos caz in a etpro server et uses etpro as you main

The demos _ARE_ in etpro/demos and they _ARE_ recordet with etpro

Maybe it is a problem with Linux Clients, cauz i am playing ET under Gentoo Linux

yes it was. nothing changed regarding demos.

try

et +set fs_game etpro +demo demo0001

maybe just maybe

put the server 2.0.1 .so file inside you etpro directory if it not there and then try the thing bani sad

Same problem under 2.0.1

I looked into the console:

ET looks in the etpro folder das finds all etpro files
than he loads the maps an switches to etmain

but do you also got the server file the .dll or .so or do you jsut got the client side ?

ok, i deleted ALL my cfgs (etmain + etpro folder), installed a fresch etpro 2.0.1 and did et +set fs_game etpro +demo demoname

still the same bug!

It may be an obvious question, but where did these demos come from?

Ignoring the mod version, was it an ET server running v1.00 or did you record them on a server running the new et patch v1.02.

I'm sure I heard mention of the fact that demos can't cross the protocol boundary (potentially in this case 82 to 83).

demo recording/playback are built in to the engine. a mod can't change this. it's no etpro bug.
