I think it would be helpfull if players other than medics could see the revive icon on wounded players (on the same team).
To avoid confusion (an engi seeing the symbol and trying their plyers out...) make it a different color, like blue or green.
Also optional for clients, b_woundedicon 1

so they know which teammates they still need to gib
engineers need it the most because they have lots of grenades to gib teammates with

I try to dance on teammates until they go into limbo. Slow-going but satisfying.

Some may want to dance on it, but I was thinking that it could be usefull to quickly be able to see if your teammates have been gibbed or not. You might noticed an ungibbed engi near a dyno objective and decide to defend the body until a medic arrives...
Think how often you'd see it. I'm sure people would realize more uses as they played with it.
I was thinking of suggesting it for enemies, but that'd probably be considered too much of a change.

probably not, when scanning a battle field you generally don't look at the bodies for more then a second

That'd be even less so for classes who's primary role isn't to revive/heal wounded teammates...

not for a person who is guarding an objective, generally they have a little more time to scan arround (which is what this was asked for, defending the body of a fallen engineer near an objective)
