i think someone needs to make a demo of a working cl_maxpackets lagscript.

I have noticed that rapidly changing cg_autoreload from 1 to 0 and viceversa for more than a dozen times makes me lag to the point that I can't move because of antiwarp

...ok but I think the point was the possibility to cause lag with a simple script (at least I thought that it was the subject of this thread).
Of course because of this issue I gave up using a script that rapidly changes cg_autoreload (and if you are wondering the purpose of such a script, it was to set cg_autoreload 1 every time I press the attack button when I am using the pistol; the idea was that the pistol reloads automatically when the clip is empty AND I press the attack button; it worked very well too :( )

yes, but you're saying that antiwarp catches it... so you don't warp arround you simply lag yourself out... this is more of a discussion of things that actually make you warp arround so others cannot shoot you

since antiwarp, neither have I (except when i'm the one lagging out)

Try playing on a German server with alot of Polish players. You'd think you landed in Star Trek.

Our servers now run on 64 bit steroids. Point your ET to:
- Forgotten Ground StopWatch Server with occasional wolfrof 1
- Fraggle Rock ETPub Server - Mix up ET/UT & Duke Nukem

I only play on a german server (the one i admin) but since i only have a laptop to play on right now, with 256MB ram and 32MB of that shared to the video, i wanna cry :cry:

Don't, 640K should be enough for everybody.
Our servers now run on 64 bit steroids. Point your ET to:

You shouldn't get any warping with ET Pro's antiwarp enabled, even in situations like this; if you are, we need to know about it, preferably via demo, since it's a bit hard to believe warping would have gone unnoticed for this long :)

No they all seem equipped with a warp drive. But it's etpub, not pro, I'm mixing stuff up.
