/callvote kick

Post by sulliwan »

I don't know if this has been discussed here already, but here goes.
Why does /callvote kick have a built-in 5 minute ban time that can't be turned off? AFAIK players kicked by /callvote kick cannot be unbanned via rcon, as opposed to PB kicks and such. It's really annoying sometimes when someone gets kicked by accident or is just 999 and needs to be kicked out.

So, a suggestion for etpro 3.2.0: either remove the built-in ban for kick or make it into a server cvar.

Wrong on both accounts.

There is a cvar for PB kick length and there is pb_sv_banlist, but no such thing for regular kick. Players don't even show up on g_banips.

Please don't post in this topic ever again, thank you, I am not looking for a guy that can't even write decent english to give me a bunch of commands that don't exist.

PS. I probably know A LOT more about ET servers/ET engine than you. Yes, you can stop trying.

In rtcw there wasn't any default ban time for /callvote kick anyway.

kicks are (stupidly) handled by the engine. It's probably possible to change the behavior for kicks via callvote/ref, but it won't be possible to change the behavior for kicks via rcon.

Make your own kick and ban command, utilizing the etpro guids, then ;).
