Feature Request: g_emptyscript in ET

Post by GOAT CHEESE »

I may have posted this a long time ago --- but i honestly can't remember.

It would be nice to bring a feature from banimod in RTCW to ET, that being g_emptyscript

For those who don't know, this is a script that executes any time the server empties. I think it is a great RTCW feature to bring to ET because several servers I've been involved with often get left in stopwatch, with password, in twl comp, etc.... after a match because nobody !pub back to public settings before they leave..... if you have g_emptyscript whenever the server empties, you can restart the campaign that you run as pub and reload all the default variables that may have been adjusted throughout the day/week/etc. that the server has been up.

Just a thought --- please begin flame now......

Actually, I'd find that kinda usefull too. As long as it only exec'd after players joined, then all left the server.

( so you can pass etc a server, then later people join and scrim, then it resets when they leaves).

You have my vote! b_emptyscript "ref pub" would be very nice.
Our servers now run on 64 bit steroids. Point your ET to:
- Forgotten Ground StopWatch Server with occasional wolfrof 1
- Fraggle Rock ETPub Server - Mix up ET/UT & Duke Nukem
