Small Suggestion
Short and sweet:
When you crouch or walk, you can open a door silently, however, when you prone, a noise is still made when opening a door, perhaps this should be fixed (assuming it's a bug). Or perhaps the ETPro team just forgot about it when making it so that you can open a door silently while crouching?

You obviously didn't read what I said. Holding walk while opening a door was the way to open a door silently in both RtCW and ET, however, ETPro introduced the feature of being able to open a door silently while being crouched. It seems a little odd that you can open a door silently while crouched but it makes noise when you're proned, I'm guessing they simply forgot about it. I believe it should be fixed. The Necromancer wrote:It's actually stock ET feature
workaround is to hold walk button ( default TAB I think ), that will make silent sound if you are not crouching
Probably because you have to jump up to get to the door knob.
Got any old idtech3 tutorials you made or saved? Send them my way.

Maybe because ETPro team did most of the work for the 2.60 patch? and included it ?The Necromancer wrote:try to open door in etmain while crouching, it *will* be silent
It was not there in etmain 2.56.
Making noise while proning is the right solution IMO cause you need to be at a certain height to reach the doorknob. if you pron on one othe rproner it might already work, try it

no it is actualy ET feature, not ETPro, it was not In RTCW but it is ages in ET
I know because I used it a lot those days..
Let's stop any flame, it does not matter if it is ETPro only or not at all
Personaly I find that OK, there are not much doors and you can always use walk button anyway

The ETPro team did a hell of a lot of work for the 2.60 patch, which is where the feature was introduced. Jesus just stop posting, it's not that hard to understand. The Necromancer wrote:no it is actualy ET feature, not ETPro, it was not In RTCW but it is ages in ET

On a side note, the whole argument of not reaching the door handle is kinda retarded, if those of you who suggested it are actually serious. Gameplay > reality.
