/m private messaging not working

I just updated a etpub server to etpro (it's a rental so the provider actually did it). I downloaded and installed the etpro twl config since we're competing in some tournaments. For some unknown reason, when you type /m {name} [message] in the console, it does nothing and says nothing. anyone have any ideas ?
Running latest version of everything...

Make sure that you set b_privatemessages higher than 0.

That was it, thanks...
what's weird is that cvar is set to 2 in two different places in different config files that get executed from server.cfg, and when the server restarts, somehow it still get's set back to zero. So I just join up and manually reset it to 2.

Well, clanbase has private messages disabled in all configs I've seen (quite logical, they don't want anything nasty going behind the scene invisible for refs / in demos). I guess that's what you ran into, twl config having private messages disabled.
