Why do you HAVE to turn your PC off? Why dont you set your PC to automatically turn off the monitor after say umm 15 minutes, and then the hard disks after 20 minutes, OR you can enable hibernation.

is it a custom built pc, or factory like HP, compaq or dell for example??? cause i have a custon built one that turns off automatically, but i also have a compaq that didn't until i toasted the harddrive then re-installed windows, but i wouldn't recomment that. But i guess what i'm really trying to say, is that it is default to have the comp turn off by itself when you load windows, but ... did it ever shutdown on its own or no? okay now i'm confusing the hell out of myself, i'll look it up....
