Need some help starting up my server, please
Hello all,
I am new to the being a BaniMod server, but I am really trying hard.
I hope someone can help me. So if u can and u r reading this, please post a reply.
I wanted to start a server and after left-clicking the accept button in the "start server"-section I was redirected to Windows. The RTCW console popped up and contained this text:

I am now downloading the patch to upgrade my 1.33 version to version 1.41. (Better? )
I don't think I understand your question 'bout the cfg file. What I did is the following:
I downloaded the BaniMod from RTCWfiles.com and extracted the files to my WinXP/Unzipped folder. Then I made a directory called Bani in my wolfenstein dir. I copied all the unzipped files to the banidir. There are now several *.cfg files in there.
Please accept my appologies for being such a PC-dummie. I am trying to bring joy to the ppl. Lol.

if oyu want to run your server in banimod you first got wolf to run in banimod i dont know if oyu did this i dind see it in you console log
so ill post how to start wolf in banimod
create a short cut to wolfmp.exe
then goto the shortcut propety's
then you will target like
"c:/your/wolf/dir/return to castle wolfenstein/wolfmp.exe"
the add at the end of that line +fs_game bani
then you get this
"c:/your/wolf/dir/return to castle wolfenstein/wolfmp.exe" +fs_game bani
then save it
then run wolf by the new shortcut
if you create a server now it will be a banimod server
and if you create a server its normal you get back to windows. if you server is running you should a normal wolf and get new list to see if your server is listed or use "status"command to see if the server runs

I should add:
+exec ****.cfg
to the multiplayershortcut goal as well. Where **** refers to the .cfg filename in my Bani directory??? Did i get it? Did i get it?
... Still would love to have an example of the contents of the .cfg file ...

to the multiplayershortcut goal as well. Where **** refers to the .cfg filename in my Bani directory??? Did i get it? Did i get it?

well if you added the line to it. it should load from $rtcw dir$/bani i think that where you installed your banimod files maybe in some other dir i dont know your comp
but if it runs in banimod you should see something like this in console
well something like that anmd only if you have the bani sound pack installed
to make that line work in a shortcut you must make sure you installed every banimod this into $wolf dir$/bani else, it wont work or you got to chance the line into fs_game <mapname where banimod is istalled into>
and here is how a cfg file should look
this is an old 1 from =SWAT=
they call it hell.cfg
you also need a maprotation file =SWAT= uses idrotation2.cfg for maps
this was idrotation.cfg
but if it runs in banimod you should see something like this in console
