unable to unreferee

Post by tiroloco »

Hi all

After using some ref commands I'm not able to unreferee using the following command: "/ref unreferee p_id". The servers always shows me the message "player_nick's status cannot be removed".

Does anybody else notice that strange behavior?

Thanks.

PS: Using ETpro v2.0.1.

when using 'ref' make sure your using the backslash '<b>\</b>' instead of forwardslash '<b>/</b>'.

\ref unreferee PID

Well, I don't think that it's a "slash" problem. I've always used the forwardslash '/' with no problems (maybe it's a keyboard issue) and at least, the server is able to understand the "/ref unreferee p_id" syntax.

I've also tried using "\ref unreferee p_id" and it doesn't work. :(

are you trying to unreferee yourself or another player?

As for the slash, it might be a keyboard thing because I can't execute anything with /ref (wish I could because I'm used to using / with RTCW).

Well, I use a Spanish keyboard layout. :)

well I'm not sure if you can unreferee yourself. Maybe try typing \ref unreferee <playername>?

Use 'ref logout' to remove your own referee status. I believe that 'ref unreferee' only works on players who were voted into referee status right now.

if the playername has a "hidden" carrot in it, it will mess up the ref and not allow the playername to be found. For instence my clan tag used to be "^7bedrock^0^^ya.. that extra carrot, turned out no one could do anything to me from ref menu, they had to type it out and use my PID
