A friend of mine is trying to install an ET server. But he said that he couldn't install it because the et setup requiers a 16 bit color mode. Then i told him to try to just install the game on his machine and zip his et folder and then uploading it to the server. But he said that ET needs some reg keys and stuff. So my question is how do u install et on that server!? I think that he has only shell access and it's running on win2k. There wouldn't exist a stand alone server package for windows?

et's dedicated server uses all of the files the client does. what he could do is install another instance of it on his own machine and copy the new files over to the server.

He did that. But then he told me that ET needed some registry keys or something

will there are any reg keys et usues you cna copy paste thme from out of your reg editor
