yahoo.com to be blocked from the forums

Post by bani »

Due to yahoo.com's incompetent abuse staff, all of yahoo.com will be blocked from the server.

yahoo.com has a huge spam problem and they simply deny it, responding to all complaints with a generic autoresponder denying all responsibility for the spam even when it clearly originated from their own servers by yahoo.com users.

i've done a quick survey of the forum registrations and ~200 users have yahoo.com accounts.

you have 30 days to move to hotmail.com or some other email provider other than yahoo.com. at the end of 30 days i will be blocking all yahoo.com mail globally.

yahoo sucks for that reason. if you have an isp, you get an e-mail with it, so i see no problem with forcing this on users. some places even force you to use your isp's e-mail address, i feel that's over the top, but this isn't at all.

Yes, change your damn email because you are wrong and everyone else is right, LMAO. What do you mean by a spam problem? You are getting emails from Yahoo just because people with yahoo accounts are registered on this forum? :?:

1) yahoo customers spam
2) yahoo not only does not do anything about it, their staff lies.
3) a yahoo employee left the company because it was so bad, and now operates a blacklist of yahoo IPs. that should tell you something.

it's #2 more than anything else that gets yahoo blocked from here. their abuse staff lied to me too many times. so, yahoo has lost the right to send any email to this server, permanently. when yahoo decides to stop lying and take responsibility for the abuse originating from their servers, i'll consider removing the block.

i'm not going to tolerate a company who thinks its perfectly ok to lie and abuse the net, just because it's inconvenient for you. get a hotmail account.

OK ....

I just wanted to understand what was going on. I find your stand admirable, but I doubt Yahoo will ever give a damn about it. I have plenty of other email accounts to choose from, so don't worry about me. When you spend a lot of time on the net and change ISPs often you learn to have multiple accounts.

why even bother using yahoo? it's a terrible service anyways. there are plenty of free alternatives. hell, use an email address from your isp.
