Hi, i wanna change the sounds in ET, I know it wont work in normal servers i just wanna do it for fun, i wanna change it to my language. Ive created an own pk3 file and named the directorys the same as in pak01 and in there i put a waw file named the same as in pak01. and when i start the game in a local server its just quiet when i test the sound i added. i would love some help, if its to complicated plz mail me at oskar.palsson@ipbolaget.com thx

well the ez way (not a verry perfect way) is to overwhite the old sounds
in that case you should name your pak to pak2.pk3
also make sure that the filenames and disrectory scructure siside the .pk3 si the same as in pak1.pk3

Re: ET sound modding
If it's just quiet you could try increasing the volume.[SFP]Nasty wrote:its just quiet when i test the sound i added

Did you set the .wavs to the correct frequency and bitrate?

In programs like "Sound Recorder" that comes with Windows, under File -> Properties -> Convert Now, you can change the quality of the wav. For ET I believe it has to be 22Khz and I think it is 16 bit mono, though I could be wrong. If you load one of the origional sound files, you should be able to tell.
