i am weird. i listen to most of the types of music up there because i listen to video game music and movie soundtracks. i know it sounds weird but there is some really sweet music out there! i can listen to a couple tracks of "the Land Before Time" or "Titanic" or "the Perfect Storm" or any Final Fantasy soundtrack and get goosebumps. if you like many different types of music like me you should rent a good soundtrack and see whats it is like. if you want to find a good movie soundtrack, make sure its from  James Horner. he is the best out there and in my opinion he is better than :sniper: John Williams :gunman: (he wrote the music to "Star Wars")

anyone else listen to soundtracks?

wow, i don't think i've ever seen that many bouncing green maniacal smiling faces in one place.

cow: john williams > james horner i think, he writes some fantastic music... you have any Thomas Newman scores? his style is awesome

what are your favorites?

no way. james horner is far better that john williams. here are two examples. listen to the soundtracks of jurasic park (1). some of my favorite themes in the first couple tracks and a good finale track, but there is nothing in the middle worth lisening to! now, take the land before time-#1 in my top five sound tracks. turn to any part of the CD and you get sweet themes.
williams gets good ideas, but he needs to implement them better!

hmmm. thomas newman sounds soooo familar! i think he did music to a movie i watched a little while ago...but which one? :? :lol2:

You could have at least put a punk or ska choice on there. Those of us who listen to Dillinger Four, NOFX, Pennywise and Less than Jake are kinda left out. :(

cow: i don't have that album, got an ftp? :o

thomas newman scored the green mile, shawshank redemption, american beauty, little women, thats all i know of.

also RE john williams, at 1:00 on the first track of Saving Private Ryan, i'm sorry that's the most incredible part in any soundtrack i've ever heard. hehe
