demo's problem

Post by Xeon_vl »

I am really interested in the clanbase nation cup so i download their demo's and replay them locally.

everything went fine untill 2 days ago, i got the error i already had on the other pc :p

i downloaded the replays, i putted them in /usr/local/games/enemy-territory/etpro/demos

i start my et (linux)

Code: Select all

et +set fs_game etpro
i start it up, i see the etpro logo, so i am SURE the etpro mod has been loaded
i go replays, select one and press view

the error:
mismatch: enemy territory /etpro
while i am sure its on etpro :s and then mind this was all ok last week

?

You´ll probably need a fresh etpro setup.

Rename your current etpro directory to soething like etpro_old. Then download the latest etpro version and extract it so that you have a "clean" etpro directory. Then try watching the demos again. After watching you can restore your old etpro directory, so that you don´t need to download stuff from servers again. Hope this helps.

Remember you'll be changing/deleting/renaming the etpro in /home/<user>/.etwolf/etpro (which is a hidden folder, remember) not in /usr/local/games/

Actually, why are you putting the demos into the install when you should put them in your home dir like above?

bump doesn't work, and i found out why
copy /usr/local/games/enemy-territory/etmain/ui.mp.i386.so to
/root/.etwolf/etpro/ui.mp.i386.so

this is what comes to my console. how can i stop making ET copy to the default etmain files?
