Problem to run (linux)

Post by Igloo »

Hello,

Friend has a little problem to run an Enemy Territory server on Debian... he has info that etded doesn't exist, but it's not true. No clue what to do...

Do you have any guide about this? It would be nice therefore I didn't find anything helpful yet.

Greetings,
Igloo

DGs guide is good, but it's a bit lacking in the linux department.

If your friend is installing via the native package manager (apt-get etc) there may be different packages for the ET client and dedicated server.

I meant a source code... not ready, but to compile by the server

Best if just etded only, to run a server (etded.x86). It won't run without compile therefore I need

The source for etded is not public. You do not need it to run a server, as a compiled binary is part of the normal distribution.

I do on Debian 64 (et is 32)... or the last way is probably adding a 32 binaries to server, dunno where to go for it

Seems to me you need to install the Debian 32bit libraries on your 64bit OS installation
