Is the MG overpowered?

Public server: the mg is not overpowered.
It was cut down from test to final release...
NOT 100% sure but HS removed... and more spread added.
IMHO 36 damage HS would be nice...
Match server: Depends on "goal"
Objective and Time.
Self Kill, Clock control, Spawn timing,no xp and few heavy weapons

That forms the game... Grenade spam, in fight selfkills,tk revieve...ect
But this is somehow popular...

They removed the Motar.. and now someone is surpried that a mg that is deployed in a position as showcased, and somehow doesnt get instagib'ed by PF is a real menace..(probaly he can shift fast there? i can see a lip/edge up)

Match format i would like to see would include:
no self kill /kill disabled, xp, and -5 xp fore teamkill and selfkill
Bonus +1 xp pr head shot..
Bonus +10 xp pr multikill 3 kills in 5 sekonds..
ect..

Well i just might watch that match, wonderfull if a mg is cutting down opposition.. because her we get to see firepower dominated gameplay
And thats is fun to watch.

If not just get 2 coverts too popup attack and fire.. and fire agian then he is gibbed out...

Negative. I don't know if you are in to competitive play but going in with 2 coverts is not done.
Add to that, the tendency is to have faster and faster maps. It's boring for viewers to spec an endless attempt of allies to get some objective. We got maps like adlernest, where everything can be done in a minute.
The MG on bremen is exactly what strokes with that. Getting stuck for 5 minutes because of an MG causes generally a maploss.
If you got luck with the spawntime when you capture, bremen is interesting because you can get the cp before the axis can do something about it. If they put their crossfire up and got the mg to crash everything thats around the main, you can pray, and hope the axis do something stupid under your pressure.
I mean, one day we played with a panzer all the time in the attack. Even after we got the cp the mg got around everywhere and rifle nading was not always possible. This caused a difficult game because we lacked one medic.
@ dersaidin: Beta2 looks like a huge improvement, now we only need people to play it.
